so, alexisonfire are playing in my home town this thursday, and i was looking heaps forward to it. Well, i still am i guess.

But today, im in like this 24/7 supermarket down the road from my work, and i look behind me, and Jesse and Steele are right behind me. So i introduced myself, and we were chatting for about 20 minutes. Was really cool. They invited me to come hang with them after i'd finished work.

So later tonight when i finished, i went to their hotel (which, by coincidence, is literally next door to the building i work in). Steele was asleep and the other guys were watching a movie, so me and Jesse just hung out and he was showing me some cool bands from canada, and we were just talking about the differences between Australia and Canada.

Later we had some drinks once steele was awake, and i took em for a drive around town. we went to a bar, and i introduced them to Coopers Pale Ale (worlds best beer, brewed right here in adelaide). They loved it.

Tomorrow im taking em to a beach about 40 mins south of here, and i'm taking my camera with me. So i'll have some photos for you crazy kids out there. But yeah, im pretty stoked to be hanging out with alexisonfire.

Yesterday morning I received a call from Grant. He was the photographer from The Advertiser (adelaides largest newspaper) I met with last week in regards to my photography.

Anyway, Call went like this:

Chad :
Chris :

Chad : Hello Chad speaking.
Grant : oh yes hi Chad it's Grant here, from the Advertiser.
Chad : Of course, Grant how are you?
Grant : Good mate. Listen i've been speaking to my editor about you, and he sounds pretty keen. I think you should give him a call and have a chat to him
Chad : Oh.. sure okay. sounds great
Grant : His name is Chris Mangan, and his number is... Give him a call today and see what he says.
Chad : Okay mate, I'll certainly do that. That sounds great. Cheers for that.
Grant : No problems.

Woo! So at this stage I decided i should put on some pants before I call Chris...just to be a bit more professional about it,ya know?

Chris : Hello, Chris speaking
Chad : Yes hi Chris, my name is Chad and i've been referred to you by Grant...
Chris : Chad! of course mate, yes. I've been waiting for your call. Listen, Grants been telling me he was impressed by your photography and your attitude. How would you like to come in sometime and have a chat?
Chad : Sure that sounds great.
Chris : When is the earliest you can come in?
Chad : Tomorrow morning good for you?
Chris : Yup that suits me fine. Come in first thing in the morning at 9am and we'll catch up and have a chat.
Chad : Okay mate. see you then

WOO FUCKING WOO

So I went in this morning and had a brief meeting with him. He was mad keen on my photography, especially my people shots and my live music stuff.
He's asked if i could do a trial with them in the near future, and that could then develop into a 2 year cadetship/employment.

Someone punch me in the face because i think I am dreaming...

Well yesterdays no-war rally here in Adelaide was amazing. A crowd of approximatly 200,000 people, in a town of just under a million. Thats a good turn out if you ask me

Got some great shtos, and i've uploaded them as a collage. Love how it turned out.
